IGSM Publication facility

Members are invited to submit papers for publication in the Bulletin of the International Group for the Study of Mimosoideae.

Aim

To publish original papers (including notes and short communications) relating to the subfamily Mimosoideae.

Scope

Any contribution relating to Mimosoideae will be considered for publication but we will not publish new taxa or new combinations. Also, there are more appropriate places than this to publish papers dealing Mimosoid crop plants. Past issues of the Bulletin provide a guide to the sorts of contributions that are considered most appropriate.

Publication process

Manuscripts submitted for publication will be refereed and following acceptance will be posted (as PDF files) on this site under the current issue of the Bulletin (which will be shown as being ‘in progress’). The paper will then be available for downloading by anyone who visits the site. Papers published in this way may be cited as having been published electronically: users will be able to cite the volume and page numbers, the date at which it was posted to the web, and reference it by the site’s web address, namely, worldwidewattle.com. When an appropriate number of papers have accrued they will be assembled into a hardcopy Bulletin and sent to Members (electronically to those who have provided us with an email addresses, or by ‘snail mail’ to other Members) and also deposited in a few selected libraries. The hardcopy version of the Bulletin will show the date of (hardcopy) publication, will be paginated and given a volume number (volume and page numbers will be the same as those which will have been given on the web version of the paper). Once hard copy publication of the Bulletin has been effected that particular volume will be ‘closed off’ and the next volume commenced.

Submission of manuscripts

We prefer that manuscripts be submitted electronically and that artwork, tables, etc. accompany the text as separate files (it would he helpful if you would indicate in the text where you want the artwork, etc. placed).

Hardcopy (non-electronic) manuscripts are also acceptable but you will appreciate that it will take longer for these to be processed.

Contributions and enquiries should be addressed to:
