Notes. (1) In accordance with Article 60.9 of the International Code of Nomenclature (McNeill et al. 2012) the hyphen is removed from the name ‘pseudo-eburnea’ which has commonly been used in past literature. (2) Acacia pseudoeburnea was accepted by Kumar & Sane (2003: 96) and ILDIS (The International Legume Database & Information Service, Roskov et al. 2005) but is treated as conspecific with A. (Vachellia) eburnea by Chakrabarty & Gangopadhyay (1996: 609); fide Ragupathy et al. (2014: 177). More recently Chakrabarty & Maina (2016) treated it as a synonym under a broadly circumscribed Vachellia eburnea, but Deshpande et al. (2019: 14) treated it as a distinct species and this classification is followed here.
