Notes. (1) A proposal to conserve the name Acacia willardiana Rose against Prosopis heterophylla Benth. (Seigler & Ebinger, 2008) was declined (Brummitt, 2011; Barrie, 2011). Therefore, the correct name for this species is Mariosousa heterophylla. (2) A detailed taxonomic treatment of this species is given in Seigler et al. (2023).
