Notes. This is an orthographic variant of Acacia microcantha Desv. which has been widely used following Hamilton (Prodr. Fl. Ind. Occid. 59, 1825). The spelling micrantha was Desvaux's spelling of the name in his herbarium, however, when he described the taxon in 1814, he chose to use the spelling microcantha.
