Notes. (1) This species is often regarded as a conspecific with Chloroleucon mangense (Jacq.) Britton & Rose (e.g. Seigler et al. 2006: 58), however, Seigler (pers. comm., June 2015) regards its status as unknown and the name not synonymous with C. mangense (B.R. Maslin, June. 2015). (2) Originally published as 'microcantha'. This orthographic variant (typographical error) occurs in the International Plant Name Index (IPNI), from which it has been copied to the World Checklist of Selected Plant Families (WCSP (in review)) and elsewhere.
