Notes. Leucaena glauca Benth. is treated as a new name, because the name on which it is based, Acacia glauca (L.) Willd., is illegitimate (superfluous) and in addition, is based on Mimosa glauca in Linnaeus' second edition of Species Plantarum (nom. illeg. non. L. (1753). That name was misapplied to what is recognised as Leucaena leucocephala. Bentham also listed Acacia biceps Willd., Acacia frondosa Willd. and Acacia leucocephala (Lam.) Link in synonymy, of which the epithet leucocephala has priority.
