Notes. This citation is the result of an error in the International Plant Name Index (IPNI), which gives the name Acacia polyantha Spreng. ex Benth., Trans. Linn. Soc. London 30(3): 591 (1875). Bentham was not proposing a new name, merely discussing the placment of Sprengel's entities A. multiflora, and its replacement name A. polyantha.
