Notes. The International Plant Name Index (IPNI) cites this name with the publication details Encycl. Pl. Suppl. 2: 1532 (1855), and Plants of the World Online gives it as a synonym of Acacia viscidula Benth. However, the page reference given has no mention of the name Acacia eriophylla. There is an entry for Acacia ixiophylla hort. (non Benth.), which is treated as a synonym of Acacia viscidula Benth. The name Acacia eriophylla therefore appears to be a typographical error in IPNI, and has never been published in any other form.
