Classification. This species contains 2 infraspecific taxa ( subsp. aspera, subsp. parviceps)
Notes. (1) Unable to apply this name with confidence in absence of having seen the Type, and which was based on such a terse description, although it most probably is same as Acacia aspera Lindl. (B.R. Maslin). (2) A nomen nudum. The description is very brief and there is no provenance given. No specimens have been located. IPNI has equated the name with the later Acacia aspera Lindl. but there is no explantion given for this decision.
