Senegalia torta (Roxb.) Maslin, Seigler & Ebinger, Blumea 58: 42 (2013)
Name Status. Accepted Name
Notes. Nielsen (1985b: 166), Sanjappa (1992: 44), Kumar & Sane (2003: 99) and ILDIS (The International Legume Database & Information Service, Roskov et al. 2005) recognize Acacia torta as a distinct species, but Chakrabarty & Gangopadhyay (1996: 604, 606) consider it conspecific with A. (Senegalia) caesia (fide Maslin et al. 2013: 42). Chakrabarty and Gangopadhyay (1996: 604) treated the type of Albizia sikharamensis as being a fruiting specimen of A. torta; despite not having seen this specimen WorldWideWattle accepts this interpretation.
