Notes. Treated as a distinct species by Rico Arce (2007: 43) but according to Lee, Seigler & Ebinger (1989), probably assignable to Acacia bilimekii, and by Seigler & Ebinger (2005: 170) as unresolved because "No type specimen has been found and the quality of the drawing does not permit conclusive identification of the plant depicted.". We have followed Plants of the World Online in treating this name as synonymous with Vachellia rigidula.
