Notes. This species is accepted by Seigler and Ebinger (Seigler 2015, pers. comm.). It was previously treated as a synonym of Senegalia riparia (Kunth.) Britton & Rose ex Britton & Killip (Siegler et al. 2006: 69). Plants of the World Online treats it a synonym of Senegalia tucumanensis (Griseb.) Seigler & Ebinger.
